Cranbourne Cricket Club has assembled what we believe is the strongest coaching panel in the DDCA.
As part of a cultural shift, the committee has worked hard to attract past players back to Casey Fields to help drive change in a bid to make the club a more professional, welcoming place for players, families and supporters alike.
Under the leadership of former junior Michael Sweeney, assisted by brother Peter Sweeney (both of whom have honed their skills at Premier level with Dandenong) and popular stalwart Martin Kelly, the club has five veteran premiership players carrying out specialist coaching roles:
π Batting Coach: Ross Woodall
π Seam Coach: Matthew Moore
π Spin Coach: Shane Doig
π Fielding/Fitness Coach: Matthew Carey
π Wicketkeeping Coach: Clint Ayres
Rising star Craig Hookey is also on board as Junior Development Coach. He will work to make our young cricketers the best players they can be and assist in their transition from junior to senior cricket.
The committee is working hard on preparations for the new season, with details of the Annual General Meeting coming soon.
We will also make an announcement on when the season will start once we receive official confirmation from the DDCA and, following that, pre-season training.
From all the committee, stay safe during COVID-19 isolation and get ready for a huge season at the Club.
This is the start of something big. Make sure youβre a part of it.
